signature wedding quilt squares

instead of asking guests to sign a traditional guest book at our wedding, my mom had the very lovely idea of asking guests to write messages on pieces of fabric quilting squares.  four years later, the squares were still sitting in the same bag up in the attic patiently awaiting the day that they would be crafted into something nice.  i decided that the time had come...four years was long enough to wait.  it was time to do something with the signature squares. 

i spent a few weeks "interviewing" quilters, making the messages from all of our fabulous wedding guests dark enough to read from afar, picking out fabrics, and looking at LOTS of quilts.  i found a very nice and thoughtful lady who seems to understand and appreciate my vision for the project perfectly.  at this very moment, she is piecing together my fabrics and creating what i hope will be the best quilt i have ever seen.  i am so looking forward to seeing the final product!  stay tuned for pictures...
