Do You Enjoy Pedicures? (Five Nail Colors for Fall 2016)

While I have gone to nail salons on numerous occasions (proms, weddings, dates with Mom, etc), I have never been a huge fan.  There was a brief time when I was single living in Boston during a particularly cold winter when I found the ritual of going for a weekly pedicure to be indulgently pleasant but since then I have had trouble finding it relaxing and worthwhile.  Perhaps because I find the act of polishing my toenails quite easy (and now have it down to less than a 3 minute job if my nails are already trimmed and while they may not be perfect, it works), while I find painting my fingernails to be a complete waste of time and an unnecessary worry since my current lifestyle of tough boy play has it chipped in less than a day.  I wish I was more careful and dainty, but I am not and life just gets in the way of having pretty nails.  Although, I do love occasions when I can justify fingernail polish because I love the look.

Since this New Time's article was published last year, I have found it increasingly difficult to justify a visit to the nail salon. But, don't get me wrong, I do love nail polish.  In fact, it is my favorite type of make-up.  As we transition into cooler months (soon, I hope!), I hope to purchase these five colors to adorn my toes (even if they are covered in comfy socks and shoes):
